In Scope is a group show at Hypha Studios, investigating symbiotic patterns and systems in nature.
The show features 𝘓𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘏𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘺 (2025): a smaller, sister mobile to 𝘉𝘢𝘣𝘺 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦 (2025), which was made for solo installation Soft Reset. Both mobiles are made up of small sculptures, each of which is affectionately initialed after a person in my life.

“In Scope pieces together a ‘sculptural ecosystem’, fusing together insights from nature’s hidden systems and symbioses across many scales.
Working across a range of media, from lighting and living furniture to immersive installations, the exhibition draws the viewer’s attention to life’s delicate balance, from the smallest cellular structures of Peter James’s Bioactive Furniture to the vast ecosystems they inhabit, the subject of Kerrie O’leary’s oceanic kinetic works.
By examining these nested systems in nature, In Scope cultivates new reflections about their entangled early origins and the interdependence between the smallest living components and the larger systems they support. Combining ancient elements like clay and sand with modern innovations such as rheoscopic fluid and printable wood fibres, the exhibition merges old and new materials to strengthen the crosstalk between human creativity and our lesser-heard natural world.
In Scope, curated by James Grossman features participating artists: Alex Clarke, Hanne Peeraer, James Grosman, Josef Stöger, Loukis Menelaou, Peter Nasielski, Star Holden, Will Laslett.”
